We wish to provide total support for parents who are caring for ill children at home but sometimes medical conditions of the child requires a stay in the hospital in order to provide the most appropriate care!
Hospital admissions for our patients at SARASOTA MEMORIAL HOSPITAL are arranged by us with our hospitalists, the JHACH/SMH Pediatric Hospitalist Group. They will stay in close touch with us and provide round-the-clock inpatient care for our patients.
Because of the specialized care and expertise provided by the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg our practice will also be referring to this facility in circumstances that require hospitalization of seriously or critically ill children.
When your child is ready to go home, our hospitalist will notify us so that we can expect you for a follow-up visit at our office the next day. We will be happy to see you all better!
In order to provide continuity of care please schedule a follow up visit at our office the next day after your child has been seen in a hospital or urgent care clinic. Let us know if other physicians have provided care so we can obtain records for your chart.
