The Sarasota Children’s Clinic is conveniently located midway between I-75 and US 41 on the corner of Bee Ridge Road and Sawyer Road. If you are traveling on the Interstate, you would take Exit 207 (old Exit 38), head West approximately 3 miles down Bee Ridge Road to the Sawyer Road traffic light, which is six traffic lights, then turn left and enter our parking lot immediately on your right hand side, continue straight through the parking lot “two speed bumps and you’re there”!
If you are coming down US 41, you turn East onto Bee Ridge Road, proceed approximately 3 miles, or six traffic lights, turn right onto Sawyer Road and enter the parking lot on your right hand side.
The Sarasota Children’s Clinic is conveniently located in Building A of the Medical Center of Sarasota on Bee Ridge Road. (That’s around in the back, on the ground floor). Ample parking spaces are available in front of the office and wheelchair accessible ramps lead to our front door.

WE OFFER CONVENIENT HOURS: For busy parents! We have evening and weekend appointments to help you get the help you need when its convenient for you. And in emergencies we’re available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. A helping hand is always there when you need it.

Appointments
Our patients are seen by appointment only. The 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. hour is set aside each morning for sick children who are our patients without appointment; other “walk-ins” will be accommodated as schedule and circumstances permit later in the day. If you are unable to come in for your appointment time, please CALL IN ADVANCE to cancel and reschedule so that we may offer this time slot to another patient.
We WELCOME out-of-state visitors and try to accommodate our patient’s busy schedules. Very ill patients will be given priority and may be seen out of order so if this causes an extended wait time please let the receptionist know if you need to reschedule. Our reception has a separate area designated for Well Children to reduce the spread of contagious illnesses. Please ring the doorbell if your child has a rash and our Receptionist will direct you to a room. We appreciate parental supervision of children in the Game area.
Flexible Scheduling
You may wish to see the same medical care provider each time or get to meet all of us – the choice is yours. We are looking forward to getting to know your children! We promise to be very FLEXIBLE in scheduling so that your child will be seen same day for ill visits. Please call as early as possible in the day to arrange this. Patients who have been ill during the night may come in without appointment to be seen first hour in the morning.
After Hours Coverage
For Your Peace of Mind We Offer After Hours Phone Calls
After hours coverage is provided by our own office entirely, so you will always be speaking to people who are familiar with your child. If you call our office after hours you will reach our answering service and they will notify one of our nurses or the doctor to help you by phone. Please try as much as possible to call us during office hours with medical questions or medical advice, and use AFTER HOURS calls for URGENT or EMERGENCY medical advice. If you think that you will need a prescription please be ready to provide your pharmacy phone number and child’s date of birth. If we have not returned your phone call within 15 minutes please call again. If the physician advises that your child needs to be seen, you will then be referred to Sarasota Memorial Hospital. Our practice physician would then be available to the ER physician for consultation.
Patients who have been seen in the emergency room or have received phone advice after hours MUST have a FOLLOW-UP VISIT in our office the following day to ensure good continuity of care.
Occasionally, patients may be seen on Sundays in the office by appointment.
Hospital admissions for our patients at SARASOTA MEMORIAL HOSPITAL are arranged by us with our hospitalists, the JHACH/SMH Pediatric Hospitalist Group. They will stay in close touch with us and provide round-the-clock inpatient care for our patients.
Because of the specialized care and expertise provided by All Children’s Hospital (in St. Petersburg), our practice will be utilizing this facility for circumstances requiring hospitalization of seriously or critically ill children.
